Education
My counselling education included Psychoanalytic, Humanistic and Behavioural Theories. In addition to my Masters degree, I have 24 credit hours of post graduate level classes focusing on Early Childhood Special Education and counselling competencies.

Since completing my formal education, I continue to grow professionally and stay current by attending professional seminars, trainings and workshops. Topics include ethics, cultural diversity and special populations. I try to stay current with interventions and evidenced based approaches including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Clinical Hypnosis, Narrative Therapy, and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT). I’ve also attended trainings pertaining to neuroscience, sensori-motor and somatic approaches.
